2023 Grantee Spotlights

In December 2023, the AAPI Commission awarded 23 community organizations with a total of $47,000 from our Small Grants Fund. Each organization does critical work in their communities. Read on to learn about just some of the amazing organizations.

Boston Korean Adoptees

They aim to build a community of transracial adoptees and allies across New England. They collaborate with community partners on adoptee-centric programming, including panels and workshops.

MAP for Health

MAP for Health is a nonprofit organization that aims to empower and uplift AAPI LGBTQ+ youth to lead healthy lives. They had planned to use the funds for their Lavender Enchantment event happening later this month. It is a queer and trans AAPI drag brunch.

OCA – Asian Pacific American Advocates of New England

OCA is dedicated to advancing the social, political, and economic wellbeing of AAPIs. They are using their funds towards a Youth Leadership Council.

Rayna Lo Art

Rayna has led workshops for the AAPI community and beyond, including traditional Chinese calligraphy, red envelope making, and working with AAPI affinity groups at local public schools to ensure that students have access to an enriching arts program.
