Voting Deadlines
- Election Date: November 2, 2021 7:00AM – 8:00PM EDT
- Early Voting: September 2 – September 10, 2021
- Voter Registration deadline: October 13, 2021
- Deadline to Request an Absentee Ballot: September 8, 2021
Preliminary elections
Preliminary elections are typically held only if there are more than twice as many candidates running for an office then are allowed to be elected to that office. Below is a list of cities who need to hold preliminary elections this year. In some cities, only certain wards or districts need to hold a preliminary election.
All cities and select towns will be holding elections on Tuesday, November 2, 2021.
Many cities will be holding preliminary elections September 14th, 21st and 28th to choose the candidates who will appear on their November city election ballots (please see list below).
