Join the Asian American Commission and the Commonwealth Seminar (@macommseminar) for a 1-Day *FREE* Session on Saturday, June 5th @ 10:30 – 1:00PM!
It will be an intensive training session with two workshops focusing on press and media and fundraising for nonprofit organizations. By giving an insiders’ view of the process, our goal is to encourage diverse leaders to become effective advocates and to pursue careers in public service.

The session will be opened by AAC Commissioner, Betty King and Outreach Coordinator of the Commonwealth Seminar, Victoria Wu. The session will end with a networking activity that is optional for attendees.
Lecture 1: Press & Media
Alethea Harney, Director of Communications for MA State Treasurer Deborah Goldberg, will give her perspective and experiences in working with the press/media and how we can utilize these entities when advocating for our causes. She’ll also offer insights which you’ll be able to use towards any endeavor in which working with the press/media might be beneficial.
