Pride Events w/ Massachusetts Commission on LGBTQ+ Youth

Event 1: AAPI LGBTQ+ Activist Panel 
On Thursday, June 17, 2021, we will be hosting a discussion with The Massachusetts Commission on LGBTQ Youth around the intersectionalities and experiences of queer AAPIs in activism. We hope to create a safe space for education and conversation.

This conversation will be moderated by Ev Gilbert with panelists: Max Tang, Le Tran, Teresa Tran, Sara Boxell, and Kaden Rushford.

Event 2: AAPI LGBTQ+ Film Festival 
On Thursday, June 24, 2021, we will be celebrating queer API creatives through a virtual short film festival with The Massachusetts Commission on LGBTQ Youth. We will be showing PFLAG’s A Place to Call Home. This short film will be followed by a Q&A with Director Stephanie Tran. A Place to Call Home features four PFLAG mothers of AAPI descent, sharing their journeys with their LGBTQ children.

We will also be showing, AFTEREARTH, this short film is about four queer and trans Asian diasporic, indigenous, and Pacific Islander femmes who imagine a decolonized and sustainable earth for future generations. This short film will also be followed by a Q&A with Producer Kit Yan.
