Culture & Heritage

This Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) Heritage Month, let’s celebrate the cultures, histories, and lasting contributions of AANHPI communities in Massachusetts.

With more than 500,000 AANHPI residents across the state, our Commonwealth is home to generations of individuals and families whose hard work, small businesses, public service, cultural traditions, and commitment to helping others have made our neighborhoods stronger, more vibrant, and more connected.

As the Commonwealth’s only permanent state commission dedicated to serving Asian American and Pacific Islander communities, the Asian American and Pacific Islanders Commission (AAPIC) works to uplift AANHPI voices through advocacy, education, resources, and community engagement. AAPIC serves as a bridge between community members, organizations, and state government while advancing equity and fostering a more inclusive future for all residents across Massachusetts.
