2023-24 Policy Priorities
The AAPIC is a permanent body dedicated to advocacy on behalf of Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders (AAPI) throughout Massachusetts. As part of this mission and its responsibilities under state statute, the AAPIC advises executive and legislative bodies on the potential effect of proposed legislation on the AAPI community. All bills endorsed by the AAPIC follow this process: (1) The AAPIC’s Subcommittee on Government Relations, Civil Rights, and Advocacy identifies, reviews, and recommends a bill; (2) The bill advances to the full AAPIC for deliberation and public comment; (3) The AAPIC takes a vote on whether or not to endorse the bill.
